Hawk Group have invested in a fleet of new Komatsu PC210-10 and HB215LC hybrid excavators to join our extensive plant hire fleet.
As one of the largest plant hire companies in the UK, we pride ourselves on the quality and age of our fleet and these latest additions mean we can continue to offer our customers a fleet with an age profile of less than 12 months.
The PC210-10 is part of Komatsu’s new generation of excavators and deliver increased net horsepower, lower fuel consumption and reduced emissions.
The hybrid HB215LCs are the hybrid version, providing up to a 40% reduction in fuel consumption and a reduced carbon footprint to Hawk’s customers.
These will be the first hybrid machines on the Hawk fleet, which Paul Allman – Hawk Group Board Director – explained is part of our commitment to the environment and focus on progressive technology, “We constantly strive to enhance the quality and efficiency of our fleet. Environmental awareness, sustainability and innovation are all Hawk values and in these new machines – especially the hybrids – we are proud to be able to offer our customers a pioneering option when it comes to industry leading fuel efficiency and reduced emissions”.
Allman continued, “We find a number of customers are very focussed on the weekly or hourly rate they pay for machines with not enough consideration of running costs. The new dash 10s can provide fuel savings of £2.00 to £3.00 per hour against existing models with the hybrids providing savings of up to £5.00 per hour. In addition to saving fuel the new generation of excavators enable our clients and their own customers to meet their sustainability goals by being more fuel efficient and reducing their carbon footprint”
