Since 2012 Hawk have been working at Wallasea Island in Essex, a 620 hectare inter-tidal site designed to create a new habitat for wildlife.

We supplied a large number of machines which in total have moved over 3 million tonnes of materials to raise the island making it inhabitable. 3 years ago the estuary wouldn’t have been able to cope with the amount of water, however 26 miles of tunnels and sea wall breaching means that Wallasea Island will now be able to re-home an estimated 50,000 birds
